I dropped mine in the mail a year ago, in Nov '08. I got my confirmation of removal in Feb '09.
It took longer than I expected. There was the usual letter back saying it's a local effort, and then I got a letter from my bishop asking me to call him etc. and then finaly the confirmation letter from HQ that I was indeed no longer a Member.
That is when the feeling hit me that indeed I had finally cut the cord for good. But what was that feeling like? Wow. I'm still exploring it.
Well, I am feeling like I might be at a similar point as you...I just haven't put my letter in the mail yet. I am not sure why I haven't done it, and seeing you do it makes me admire your courage.
Cool!

Complete with Marge Simpson stamp! LOL. I hope you find all the happiness you seek Ezra.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I think the Marge Simpson stamp is awesome! haha. Especially considering the return address is in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteLOL--the only funnier place for Marge was the cover of Playboy :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Ezra--I wish you all the best.
Love the stamp.
ReplyDeleteI know this is painful, but it's an important step. Congratulations!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you did it... I guess I should get my act together, and just finish it off too!
